Why Design Downer?
As someone who's been immersed in the world of design for a while, I've noticed a couple of universal truths: 1) Designers hear some of the most ridiculous comments, and 2) We designers can be just as ridiculous ourselves. Let's face it, our industry is a wild ride—one moment, we're hailed as creative geniuses; the next, we're debating the perfect shade of blue for hours on end. Design Downer is my lighthearted way of reminding ourselves that even in the most serious professions, there's always room to laugh at ourselves.
What's it do?
Design Downer is the ultimate tool for developers and designers to humorously tease their colleagues. The app randomly selects a quote from a collection of classic, demotivating design gems—those familiar lines we've all heard from clients, product owners, or developers. Whether it's the infamous "Can you make it pop?" or "I’m just not feeling the color," these quotes capture the quirky realities of working in design. Use it to bring a bit of humor to your day and remind everyone that sometimes, it's best to laugh at the absurdities of our industry.
